Frankonia goes on air

When in the future they say on RTL and n-tv: “live from our main studios in Berlin” they will mean a Frankonia building. Behind the facade of the imposing Palais Behrens a “who’s who” of the worlds of business and politics will be going through here in relays. A T.V. studio with advanced technology will be set up on the ground floor of House 1. The station has also rented the 4th and 6th floors making a total of 3,600 m². The RTL media group has also rented the terrace of the six-floor building. The reason is obvious: when prominent politicians are being interviewed here in the future it will be against a spectacular backdrop, as the Palais Behrens offers a fantastic view across the capital with the dome of the Reichstag and Alexanderplatz in the background.

The news from the centre of the capital

Apart from the high specifications of Frankonia office buildings and the prestigious architecture the unique location in the capital was also a deciding factor for the station when choosing this site. Behren Straße runs parallel to the elegant boulevard “Unter den Linden” and it is only a short walk to the Brandenburg Gate. You really cannot get more central in Berlin. Thus the Komische Oper, the Adlon Hotel as well as the Bavarian State representation and the Embassy of the Russian federation are all in the vicinity. It goes without saying that the public transport infrastructure is also on par with such a prime location.

The market leader as a magnet

As the so-called anchor tenant the market leader RTL will make Palais Behrens particularly attractive for other companies. The RTL media group, which also owns the stations VOX and n-tv, is one of the leading media companies in Germany and reaches over 30 million people daily. The station RTL is regularly top of the viewer ratings with its programming formats. The already strong representation of media companies located in Berlin is continuously drawing more organisations in the media business to the capital. In House 1, floors 1, 2 and 3 are still available with a total of about 3,000 m². In House 2 there are still around 4,000 m² of premium office space on offer, which would also be ideal for one single company.
