Grosser Burstah

11,000 NATURAL-STONE FACADE PANELS ARE FITTED

Grosser Burstah is taking shape. The first of 11,000 natural-stone panels, which will form the facade of the buildings are currently being put in place on the Frankonia Eurobau project. The developer is investing around €100m in this premium development in the new Nikolai quarter in Hamburg. The Burstah Offices and the Burstah Lofts are due to be completed by Autumn 2014.

“Everything is going according to plan, our Grosser Burstah is developing into the premium area that we intended for the Nikolai Quarter,” explained Hilke Branding-Rettig, regional manager of Frankonia Eurobau. Here around 20,000 m2 of retail space, restaurants, offices and apartments are being built. The aim of the project is to return Grosser Burstah to the commercial status it once had – as a continuation of the shopping district Mönckebergstraße and a link to the exclusive shopping streets Neuer Wall and Grosse Bleichen.
