Frankonia Eurobau hosted a special evening in the show apartment in 29 Harvestehuder Weg with musical accompaniment by the Hamburg School of Music to round off the wonderful atmosphere. The highlight of the event was a presentation by Prof. Mirjana Markovic who won the architectural competition for the design of Sophienterrassen in 2007 with her company MRLV Architects.

Prof. Markovic made a lively presentation of the history and philosophy behind Sophienterrassen. In particular she discussed the Alster-lakeside development on Harvestehuder Weg and explained the selection of materials and features of the buildings. Ms. Markovic also described the problems in the construction of an underground car park taking into account natural conditions, such as underground duckweed.

The presentation was followed by the opportunity for guests to talk to Prof. Markovic and a lively exchange ensued with buyers and prospective buyers.
