Montgelas Park
“Architektur und Kunst im Raum” (Architecture and art within space) exhibition
Art and architecture have much in common: they combine the values and aesthetics of their time and preserve it for future generations. In the foyer of Montgelas Park both are now brought together in the exhibition “Architektur und Kunst im Raum” (Architecture and art within space).
On 26 June 2014 at 5 pm the renowned artist Andreas Horlitz will transform the foyer of Montgelas Park into an impressive illusion created from light and glass.
Horlitz, who has designed installations in Montgelas Park in the past, is known for his work with light, glass and mirrors, which he often combines with photographs, scientific images, codes and sign systems in a way that is often critical of the media but always impressive. Works by Andreas Horlitz are exhibited in numerous museums and art collections in Germany and his work can be found in situ throughout Europe.
