Sophienterrassen
A look back at the “Malerisches Harvestehude” (“Picturesque Harvestehude”) exhibition
FRANKONIA and patron of the arts, Christa Block, should be very satisfied at the close of their art exhibition “Malerisches Harvestehude” (“Picturesque Harvestehude”) which took place in Sophienterrassen. More than 600 visitors attended the exhibition, which ran for four weeks. A total of 67 works were on display by four artists: Hinnerk Bodendieck, Stefan Dobritz, Susanne Wind and Peter Witt, each expressing their individual impressions of Harvestehude. And by the close of the exhibition the majority of the pictures had been sold.
At the opening of the exhibition in the middle of September the level of interest in the art shown was already high: even before the actual opening at 6 pm some of the pictures had already been sold. Around 250 guests attended the opening.
The exhibition was initiated by Hamburg publisher Dieter Benecke, in cooperation with FRANKONIA and attracted art lovers and locals of all ages. Due to this year’s success FRANKONIA are planning another exhibition next year.
