HanseMerkur acquires Sign! in Düsseldorf

Hanse Merkur Grundvermögen AG has acquired the office skyscraper “Sign!” in Düsseldorf harbour for the open-ended real estate fund “HMG Grundwerte Büro Deutschland”. Frankonia Eurobau Düsseldorf Hafen-Office GmbH was the developer of the project.

Am Medienhafen combines post-modern design with listed port architecture. The maritime atmosphere and the unique ambience have made the harbour area a magnet for modern industries.

At a height of 76 meters, SIGN!, with its 20 floors, is the tallest building in an area of inspiring architecture. This iconic skyscraper with its transparent glass façade and spectacular Skydeck has become a new landmark in the skyline of the city.

The 20-storey building with a lettable area of approximately 13,500 square meters was designed by Helmut Jahn and completed in 2010. The leasees come from a wide range of industries. The main tenant is the European law firm Noerr.

FRANKONIA identifies, develops, builds, markets and manages high-end residential, office, retail and hotel properties with high-quality usage and service concepts. The company also specialises in the reactivation, revitalisation, renovation and modernisation of complete urban core areas.
