CHAMI 9 Düsseldorf

A villa that celebrates life.

Style. Elegance. Sublimity. And great art. Chami 9, Düsseldorf, Zooviertel

Sometimes words are not enough to capture and describe the grandeur and uniqueness of a place. Then only art remains. The urban villa Chami 9 in Düsseldorf's Zooviertel is such a place. And perhaps the "morning mood" of Edvard Grieg's Peer Gynt Suite comes closest to doing it justice.
With only five residential units, the privilege of living in Chami 9 remains highly exclusive. This is also consistent with the history of this property. It was not only Gabriele and Konrad Henkel's villa that stood here. It was also the private residence of personalities such as Henry Kissinger, Giovanni Agnelli and Andy Warhol.

In honor of the art-loving Gabriele Henkel, FRANKONIA Eurobau is working with Geuer & Geuer to develop and curate a sculpture park with works by renowned artists in the 9,000 m² park-like garden.

Chami 9 is probably the last work of the great architect Christoph Sattler. The 86-year-old designer of the hotel "The Charles" in the Lenbach Gardens and the Heinrich Heine Gardens once again demonstrates his mastery. His expressive power of serenity, sovereignty and joy. Behind the bright limestone façades, whose structure offers a unique interplay of light and shadow, rooms open up that are reminiscent of the art of living of past centuries: high, wide and bright.

On all floors of Chami 9 you can enjoy the changing spectacle of nature not only through large windows. You also enter into a kind of dialog with it. On roof terraces, balconies and patios. This even applies to the basement. Another gem can be found in the sheltered, garden-side terraced courtyards. The listed complex with its typical period walls was designed by the Düsseldorf landscape architect Roland Weber (1909 - 1997).
